Water has broken into the workings and the shaft bottom is the only way out. Push the tubs, swing the turnplates, and keep a tally until every man is off the board.
How it plays
Every floor is a plan to be solved.
Between you and the shaft bottom are dips you cannot cross, tubs you can only push, and turnplates that swing a quarter turn when you put your shoulder to an arm. Later levels send a whole crew underground.
Push
Tubs fill dips in the floor and make a road across the water, if you push them in the right order.
Turn
Turnplates pivot a quarter turn from the side. Swing one the wrong way and you may have trapped yourself.
Par
Every level has a par, and it is not a guess: it is the length of the shortest solution, proven by exhaustive search.
