Privacy without the peloton jargon.

1. Who is responsible?

Pedal Peaks is operated by the independent developer identified on its Apple App Store listing (“we”, “us”). For privacy questions or requests, contact privacy@snod.net.

Before release, the developer will ensure that the legal identity and contact information on the App Store listing are current and match this policy.

2. Information kept on your device

The app stores gameplay progress, unlocks, selected kit and bike cosmetics, preferences, tutorial state, and diagnostic settings locally. A single ghost-ride file may be stored in the app’s Documents directory.

You can reset player progress from the in-app debug tools in development builds. Deleting the app removes local app data, subject to iOS backup behavior. Synced progress may remain in iCloud/Game Center saved games until removed through Apple’s controls or a supported in-app reset.

3. Game Center and iCloud

If you sign in to Game Center or enable progress sync, Apple may provide or process:

• your Game Center player identifier, display name, avatar, leaderboard scores, and rank;
• friend and nearby leaderboard results used for in-world rival markers;
• saved-game progress used to keep unlocks and progress across devices.

We use this information only to provide leaderboards, rivals, avatars, and progress sync. These features depend on your Apple Account, Game Center, iCloud, and iCloud Drive settings. Apple is independently responsible for its processing; see Apple’s Game Center privacy information and Apple Privacy Policy.

4. Purchases

Apple processes payments and does not give the app your full payment-card details. The app and RevenueCat process product identifiers, localized product information, transaction and entitlement status, an app/customer identifier, and limited technical information needed to offer, verify, and restore purchases.

This processing is necessary to deliver purchased content and prevent duplicate or unauthorized access. Learn more in Apple’s App Store privacy information and the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

5. Lightweight analytics

We use TelemetryDeck to understand how the game is used and improve balance and usability. Events can include:

• run, pause, resume, restart, and results actions;
• bucketed distance, score, duration, and pickup totals;
• selected kit, helmet, frame, and wheel identifiers;
• feature screens opened, purchase-flow outcomes, app version, and general device/platform metadata.

The app creates a random analytics session identifier that changes when the app launches. We deliberately do not send names, email addresses, precise location, advertising identifiers, Game Center names, or free-form user content to TelemetryDeck. Analytics are not used for targeted advertising or cross-app tracking.

6. Why we process information

• Provide the app and purchases: performance of our agreement with you.
• Improve stability, balance, and usability: our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving Pedal Peaks, balanced against the limited and pseudonymous nature of the analytics.
• Security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance: legitimate interests and legal obligations where applicable.

Where local law requires another legal basis, including consent, we will request it before the relevant processing.

7. Sharing and processors

We do not sell personal information. Data is shared only as needed with:

• Apple for App Store purchases, Game Center, and iCloud;
• RevenueCat for product, purchase, and entitlement management;
• TelemetryDeck for privacy-oriented product analytics;
• authorities or advisers when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights.

This public page is hosted using GitHub Pages. When you visit it on the web, GitHub may process standard connection and server-log information under the GitHub Privacy Statement. The bundled in-app copy does not require that web visit.

8. Retention and deletion

Local information remains until it is reset, overwritten, or the app is deleted. Synced data and Game Center results remain according to Apple’s controls and retention rules. Purchase records may be retained by Apple and RevenueCat as necessary to restore purchases and meet legal obligations. Analytics is retained only as long as reasonably needed for product analysis and according to TelemetryDeck settings and contractual terms.

Contact us to request deletion of information we control. We may need details sufficient to locate the relevant record. For Apple Account, Game Center, payment, or iCloud data controlled by Apple, use Apple’s account and privacy controls.

9. International processing and security

Service providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, appropriate contractual or legal safeguards are used. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, but no storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.

10. Children

Pedal Peaks is not designed to collect personal information directly from children. The app does not include ads, public chat, or free-form profile creation. Parents and guardians should manage Game Center, iCloud, and purchase permissions through Apple’s family and device controls. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing; receive a portable copy; or lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the basis, without affecting earlier lawful processing.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. Some information may need to be retained when required by law or to establish legal claims.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when features, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised, and material changes will be communicated where required.
